We are a technology-driven platform that connects individuals in need of trusted household services, including, but not limited to, cleaning, cooking, gardening, elder care, child care and others with qualified and verified expert/service professionals. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines our practices regarding the collection, storage, usage, processing, and disclosure of personal data that you consent to share with us when you access, use, or otherwise interact with our mobile application “Clanhub” or website (collectively, “Platform”) or avail products or services that Clanhub offers you on or through the Platform (collectively, the “Services”). In this Policy, the services offered to you by expert/service professionals on or through the Platform are referred to as “Professionals”. Whether you are a customer using our Platform to book services or a professional offering services, your trust is important to us. To deliver our services effectively and safely, we need to collect and process certain personal information about you.
This Policy explains how we process and use personal data about you. Unless otherwise specified, terms defined in our Terms and Conditions will have the same meaning in this Policy. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy along with our Terms and Conditions to fully understand your rights and our responsibilities.
By accessing or using our Platform, or availing of our Services or Professionals, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Policy, and you expressly consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described herein.
If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
- Background and Key Information
a) How this Policy applies:
This Policy applies to all individuals who register, access, or use the Platform, including both users seeking services and expert/service professionals offering services (collectively referred to as “you” or “your” throughout this Policy).
By using or registering on the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Policy and as necessary for providing and receiving the services.
b) Review and Updates:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or business practices. Whenever we make significant changes, we will do our best to notify you through the Platform or by other means. We recommend reviewing this Policy regularly to stay informed about how we protect and use your data. It is your responsibility to ensure that the personal data you provide remains complete, accurate, and up to date throughout your use of the Platform.
c) Third-Party Services:
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, services, or applications (“Third-Party Services”). We do not control or endorse these Third-Party Services and are not responsible for their privacy practices. When you leave our Platform to use a third-party service, we recommend reviewing their privacy policy. - Permissible Age
Our Platform and Services are designed for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect, use, or process personal data from individuals under the age of 18, unless permitted under applicable local laws. If we become aware that personal information has been submitted by someone under the Permissible Age, we will take immediate steps to delete the account and any associated data from our records.
If you believe we may have inadvertently collected information from or about a user under the Permissible Age, please contact us, and we will address the issue promptly. - Personal Data that we collect
(a) We collect different types of personal data about you. This includes, but is not limited to:
(i) Contact Data
Such as your mobile number, email, residential or work address, and location data (when location access is enabled on your device).
(ii) Identity and Profile Data
Such as your name, profile photo, gender, and any identifiers you may use when using the Platform. For expert/service professionals, we may also collect a copy/image of your Aadhaar card for identity verification.
(iii) Background Verification
As part of the onboarding process, background checks may be conducted for expert/service professionals. This may involve verifying your identity, submitted documents, and other relevant records to ensure safety, compliance, and trust on the Platform.
(iv) Location Data
We collect precise or approximate location data from the mobile devices only when the app is actively in use (foreground mode), and only with their explicit consent. This helps us allocate leads efficiently, ensure service reliability, and maintain safety and operational flow. All location data is stored securely and used strictly for internal purposes related to service facilitation. We do not share this data with unrelated third parties.
(v) Camera
We will only access images that you specifically choose, and we will never scan or import your photo library or camera roll. This allows you to choose individual pictures to change your user profile picture or easily upload documents. You can stop sharing photos and revoke access at any time.
(vi) Marketing and Communications Data
Such as your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us, your responses to surveys or promotional campaigns, and any messages, reviews, feedback, comments, or discussions you share through service requests, chat features, or contact forms on the Platform. We may also collect call logs and chat records when you communicate with other users or expert/service professionals through the Platform.
(vii) Technical Data
Which includes your IP address, browser type and version, device type and model, operating system, mobile network information, unique device identifiers, access time, app activity logs, and general location information derived from your IP or device settings.
(viii) Transaction Data
Such as records of the Services or Professionals you have booked or provided through the Platform, transaction history, limited payment details shared with us by third-party payment processors (like masked card numbers), and UPI IDs used to facilitate payments or payouts.
(ix) Usage Data
Which includes how you use the Platform and interact with various features, service browsing behavior, click patterns, time spent, user journey, actions on service listings, and booking history.
b) We also collect, use, and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for analytics and service improvement purposes.
This aggregated data may be derived from your personal data, but it is not considered personal data under law and does not directly identify you. For example, we may aggregate usage data to analyze trends in booking frequency or preferred service categories. If we ever combine aggregated data with your personal data in a way that could identify you, we will treat the combined data as personal data and protect it accordingly.
c) What happens if you choose not to share your personal data?
If you do not provide certain personal data when requested, we may not be able to provide you with access to the Platform or the Services/Expert/Service Professional. For instance, without location access, some features like expert/service professional matching or service tracking may not work properly. If identity documents are not submitted by expert/service professionals, we may be unable to verify and activate their profiles. - How Do We Collect Personal Data?
We use different methods to collect personal data from and about you, including through:
(a) Direct Interactions
You provide us with personal data when you interact with the Platform. This includes personal data you provide when you:
i. create an account or profile as a user or expert/service professional;
ii. request, provide, or manage Services and Professionals through the Platform;
iii. fill out forms, upload documents, or complete verification steps;
iv. participate in promotions, user polls, referral programs, or surveys;
v. request service updates or marketing communications to be sent to you;
vi. report a problem with the Platform or Services, submit feedback, or contact our support team.
(b) Automated technologies or interactions
Each time you use the Platform, we may automatically collect certain Technical Data about your device and usage behavior. This includes:
- Device information
- IP address
- Access times
- App activity
- Location data (when permission is granted)
We collect this data using technologies such as cookies, app analytics tools, web beacons, log files, and other similar technologies to ensure smooth performance and a personalized experience.
(c) Third parties or publicly available sources

ii. Identity, verification, and contact details from third-party KYC or background check agencies (for expert/service professionals);
iii. Transaction and payment details from payment gateways;

- How do we use your personal data?
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data where we need to provide you with the Services, enable you to use the Professionals, or where we need to comply with a legal obligation. We use your personal data for the following purposes:
(i) to verify your identity and register your account on the Platform as a user or expert/service professional;
(ii) to provide our services and facilitate interactions between users and expert/service professionals;
(iii) to enable expert/service professionals to deliver Professional Services to users;
(iv) to monitor user preferences, behavior, and platform usage trends to personalize your experience;
(v) to improve the functionality, design, and performance of the Platform based on feedback and user data;
(vi) to enhance customer support and promptly respond to service-related queries or issues;
(vii) to process bookings, track transactions, and facilitate secure payments and payouts;
(viii) to send you service-related updates, booking confirmations, support messages, or feature announcements;
(ix) to assist with the scheduling, coordination, and follow-up of Expert/Service Professionals availed through the Platform;
(x) to promote our services through direct or targeted marketing, advertisements, and offers based on your interests;
(xi) to comply with legal or regulatory obligations as required by applicable laws;
(xii) to protect and manage our platform infrastructure through troubleshooting, data monitoring, and internal operations;
(xiii) to improve our business models, service offerings, and user experience;
(xiv) to perform and fulfill any contractual obligations entered into between you and us;
(xv) to enforce our Terms of Use, policies, or agreements with you; and
(xvi) to respond to court orders or government requests, exercise our legal rights, or defend against claims.
(b) You agree and acknowledge that by using our Services and registering on the Platform, you authorize us, our expert/service professionals, affiliates, and partners to contact you via phone, SMS, email, or other channels. This is done to facilitate the Services and Professional Services, provide necessary updates, and ensure you are aware of relevant features, offers, and policies.
(c) You also agree and acknowledge that any data relating to you, whether directly provided by you or indirectly obtained, may be compiled, processed, and shared for the purpose of providing services. This includes, but is not limited to:
i. Communication and instructions via email, chat, or phone
ii. Information needed to facilitate Professionals
iii. Shared access with vendors, expert/service professionals, third-party tools, data processors, marketing agencies, lawyers, auditors, or affiliates working to deliver and improve the Services
iv. Such sharing is always aligned with the purposes stated in this Policy.
(d) You agree and acknowledge that we may share your personal data without obtaining additional consent when required by law, regulation, court order, or government authority. Such disclosures are made in good faith and only when deemed necessary for compliance, enforcing this Policy or the Terms, or protecting our rights and the safety of others. - Who Do We Share Your Personal Data With?
We share your personal data with trusted third parties where it is necessary to provide our Services, fulfill legal obligations, enhance platform functionality, or improve your experience. This sharing is done securely and only for the purposes outlined in this Policy.
a) We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients:
(i) Expert/Service Professionals or Users – We share relevant personal data between users and expert/service professionals (such as name, location, phone number, and service preferences) to enable booking, coordination, and delivery of services through the Platform.
(ii) Third-party service providers – These include payment gateways, customer support providers, background verification agencies, analytics platforms, cloud storage providers, and IT service vendors that assist in operating and improving our Services.
(iii) Affiliate entities and group companies – We may share your data with our affiliates and subsidiaries for internal business purposes, analytics, service optimization, or cross-platform support.
(iv) Marketing and communication partners – Subject to your preferences, we may share limited personal data with partners who help us run marketing campaigns, email communications, or promotions.
(v) Auditors, consultants, and legal advisors – We may share your information with legal or business advisors to help ensure compliance and safeguard our rights and interests.

(a) We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including:
- To provide you with services;
- To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements;
- To resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or prevent fraud and misuse.
We consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process your data, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means.
(b) In general: - User account data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after account deletion (for backup, legal compliance, and dispute resolution);
- Expert/Service professional data (including identification documents) may be retained longer as necessary for regulatory compliance, audits, and business records;
- Transaction data may be retained in accordance with applicable financial and tax laws.
When the retention period ends, we will securely delete your data, unless we are legally required or permitted to retain it longer.
(c) If you request the deletion of your account, we will delete personal data within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes as outlined above.

We are committed to providing you with control over your personal data. Depending on how you use the Platform, you may have the following rights and choices:
(a) Access and Review
You can access and review the personal data you have shared with us by logging into your account and visiting your profile or account settings.
(b) Correction and Updates

(c) Withdrawal of Consent

(d) Account Deletion
You can request to delete your account and associated data at any time. Please note that this action is irreversible. Your customer rating will be reset. Upon such a request, we will delete your account, and all associated data will be deleted in accordance with our data deletion policy, unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
(e) Opt-Out of Marketing
When we send marketing or promotional messages to your registered phone or email, we make reasonable efforts to provide you with the ability to opt out of such communications using the opt-out or unsubscribe link provided in the message.
You acknowledge that it may take up to 10 business days to fully process your opt-out request. Please note that even after opting out of marketing emails or messages on registered mobile number, you may continue to receive non-promotional communication related to your account or the Services you use (such as booking confirmations, service alerts, or support messages). - Data Security
(a) We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from accidental loss, unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include:
- Encryption of data during transmission and storage (where applicable);
- Call masking and physical security controls

- Limited access to personal data to authorized employees, agents, and service providers who are subject to confidentiality obligations;

(b) Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and we recommend using strong passwords and enabling multi-factor authentication (if available).
(c) If you suspect any unauthorized access to your account or a potential data breach, please contact us immediately so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

You acknowledge and agree that in the event of a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
